The Office for Inclusion and Civil Rights ensures the ensures the University’s commitment and responsibility to foster equitable and inclusive working and learning environments. Our work focuses on administering the University’s non-discrimination policies, as well as ensuring compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
These policies, procedures, and guidelines are university-wide and apply to the Storrs campus, Regional Campuses and UConn Health unless otherwise noted.

Policy Against Discrimination, Harassment, and Related Interpersonal Violence
Policy Purpose: The University’s Policy brings all rules related to discrimination, harassment, sexual misconduct, retaliation, and inappropriate relationships into one document, making it easier for students, faculty, and staff across all campuses to understand their rights, responsibilities, and reporting options. The Policy is designed to promote a safe, respectful learning and working environment and identifies the offices responsible for addressing these concerns.

Animals on Campus Policy
Policy Purpose: This policy provides the rules concerning individuals bringing animals on University Property. This policy applies to all University campuses. Specific procedures regarding the presence of animals in UConn Health clinical practice and patient care areas are outlined in the UConn Health Animals in the Clinical Practice Policy.
